Les Roberts
Les Roberts spent 24 years in Hollywood writing and/or producing more than 2500 half-hours of network and syndicated television programs including such classics as “The Hollywood Squares,” “The Lucy Show,” “The Andy Griffith Show” and “The Jackie Gleason Show.”
Mr. Roberts is best known now as a mystery novelist who got his start as the winner of the first St. Martin’s Press-Private Eye Writers of America’s “Best First Private Eye Novel Contest” in 1987 with his novel “An Infinite Number of Monkeys.” In 1988, Mr. Roberts introduced Cleveland private investigator Milan Jacovich in “Pepper Pike” and has written 12 more Jacovich books that are now being reprinted by Gray & Co. Mr. Roberts is also the past president of the Private Eye Writers of America and the American Crime Writers League.
